Measure to cut Israel aid fails in bipartisan House vote

Hey Watchmen, Well, here we go again — Congress votes down a measure to cut aid to Israel, and everybody's clapping like it settles the matter. My friends, I've said this before and I'll say it again: America has a bipolar relationship with the state of Israel. We stand and cheer "we love Israel, we love Israel" — everybody's up on their feet — and then in the same breath we're funding the very nations and proxies that want to wipe her off the map. You can't have it both ways. A bipartisan vote to keep the aid flowing sounds like good news on the surface, but I want you to look deeper than the headline, because support isn't measured in press releases — it's measured in whether we're actually standing with Israel or just performing for the cameras. Now here's where I have to be careful, because the prophets will tell you something Christians don't want to hear — sending military aid isn't the same as blessing Israel (Isa. 30-31; Jer. 2, Hosea 4-5). Genesis 12:3 says Elohim blesses those who bless Abraham's seed, but that blessing was never about arming a nation for endless war. It's about standing with His covenant people in righteousness, in humanitarian care, in truth. A vote in the House doesn't settle the deeper question — what is this country's heart toward Israel, and more importantly, what is this country doing with the land itself? Because I'll tell you plainly, my friends, the real danger isn't a funding bill. It's any hand — American or otherwise — that moves to divide that land. That's when the fall lines get drawn, not just over there, but here. So don't get lulled to sleep by a "win" in Washington. Keep your eyes on Jerusalem, keep your eyes on the land, and keep your heart anchored in Torah, not politics. Yeshua told us to watch, and the watchmen don't stand down just because one battle in Congress went the right way.
